Mr J H Brake has sent in the following cutting taken from "The American Magazine" February issue 1953
"Early Birds: Police in Chattanooga, Tenn, rushed to a residential district after getting reports of prowlers, Upon arriving at the area they disovered three salesmen, fresh from a pep talk by their district manager, earnestly trying to sell vacuum cleaners at 2.15am".

On 15th February, the death occurred of Mrs F Waters at the age of 47 years. Mrs waters had been employed in the Cannery at Southall, London for ten years.
On the 18th February the death occurred of Mr F Archer, emloyed for thirteen years at our Southall factory
Mrs Grace Martin who had been with us in the Soup Kitchen and Preperation Departments at Sheffield since July, 1951, died 26th, March, 1953, at the Sheffield Royal Infirmary Hospital after a sudden illness. She was 36 years old,. her sisters, Mrs Emma Lee (Supervisor) and Mrs Winifred Horner together with her daughter, Miss Rita Martin are also employed at the same Sheffield factory.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs E Billard, (Preperation Department Sheffield) on the recent death of her husband.
Also, Mrs Elsie Cox (Soup Kitchen, Sheffield) on the recent death of her brother.
